Center for Intelligent Technologies is joint research unit between TU Košice, Slovakia and Slovak Academy of Science. The main focus in general is in promotion of new trends in Information Technology and also to support the applications of intelligent technologies in Slovakia mainly in industrial and banking environment. Center for Intelligent Technologies has the following goals of its mission:
- Support innovation and application of new generation of Information systems in Industry.
- Provide a technological audit for selected industrial and non-industrial organizations with recommendation of new trends in IT.
- Operate as consulting center for new trends in IT.
- Study and research of Intelligent Technologies in basic-fundamental level and also in application domains. Biologically inspired technological systems are the main focus of CIT including artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolutionary computational systems, hybrid systems and intelligent systems in general. Application domain covers 3 main directions : intelligent control, prediction systems, image processing. In all these application we investigate intelligent decision procedures and their development in general.
- Joining the Computational Intelligence international research community and contribute to the development of Computational Intelligence in general. Organize and support events about research and promotion of these technologies which could contribute to support interest of young researches, new ideas which contribute to the development of Artificial Intelligence in general.
- Promoting Intelligent Technologies among students of Technical University of Kosice mainly in postgraduate and postdoctoral level. Teaching various subjects from computational Intelligence domain or subjects supporting intelligent technologies in general.
- Promoting Intelligent technologies among research associates, academic community, industrial and non-industrial companies in Slovakia. Collaborate with these companies and provide them expertise services and pilot projects promoting intelligent technologies in their environment.
