Bio:
- 1983 M. Sc. in Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence from Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia in the branch of Biocybernetics and his Final Thesis were involved with image processing
- 1984-1992 Institute of Experimental Physics, Department of Space Physics, Slovak Academy of Science, Kosice, Slovakia (1984 until 1992). Involved in an institutional project concerning image processing of remotely sensed images.
- 1992 Ph.D. at the Institute of Information Theory and Automation, Czech Academy of Science in Prague, Czech Republic (1988 until 1992). Ph.D. dissertation dealing with image processing of multi-spectral images from remote sensing defended in 1992.
- 1992 Department of Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at Technical University of Kosice (July 1992 - present).
- 1994-1997 Head of the AI section of the Department of Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence (1994 until October 1997).
- 1997 Associate Professorship from Department of Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence, Technical University of Kosice (1997).
- 2001 Full Professorship in the branch of AI at Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia
Publications and Teaching Activities Approximately 50 papers in journals and domestic & international conferences. Lecturing in two subjects : Neural Networks and Neuro-Fuzzy Systems. Supervising four M. Sc. students, four internal Ph.D. students, and two external Ph.D. students. One PhD student finished in April 2000 and 6 PhD students are in progress. One of them is finishing his PhD in Boston University with Prof. Carpenter.

Prof. Sinčák is a member of European & International Neural Network Society and Slovak Artificial Intelligence Society.
